Swimming dayssss

Almost every evening, I will bring Tiffy to go swimming....Partly because she has nothing much to do at home and also it's a way to release her endless energy. Partly is because by letting her to play in the swimming pool, I can concentrate on my study (my exam is on 5.6.2010)
.
Somehow, weather is not good recently, it's either showering or heavy rain with thunder storm....
.
.
Finally, the rain stopped....
.
.

.
Keeping an eye on her, Tiffy's enjoying the water while I studied. Sometimes, other children in the pool will play with Tiffy. At least, Tiffy can have fun at pool rather than staying at home.

Sit with support

Nowaday, when I lie Cayden down, he wants to get up and can pull his head quite up. So, I put him sitting on the couch and surrounded him with pillows.

.
.
Sometimes, he will falls to left or right when he loses his balance.

.
Yet, he still loves to sit up.

Jumping, another molar and diaper-free

.
Tiffy jump up for the first time two days ago. At first, she bends alittle bit of her knees (like half-squat position) and pretend to jump, of course her feet did not leave the ground surface. After a few tries, she jumped up with both feet leaving the ground. I watched her doing this, so amazed. But she fell on buttock after that jump. Anyway, this is really a good try and a great milestone.
.
Besides this, Tiffy's second molar is sprouting, which grows on the lower-right of her gum. Everytime when she drinks water, she'll gargle. So I thought since she knows how to gargle, I might as well teach her how to brush teeth with toothpaste. I bought her a Pigeon strawberry toothpaste and tried once today, she swallowed the toothpaste after I brushed her teeth. I asked her to gargle and spit out the water, instead of spit it out, she drank the water...*FAINT FAINT* Need to teach her how to spit out the water like how she always spit out the foods....
..
Well well, potty training is the milestone I'm looking forward to the most - NO MORE DIAPERS. I have given Tiffy toilet training on and off since she turned 14 months, until now, she's able to express her need to go pee pee. So, she's diaper free during day time now, except going to school and having her noon nap.

Love...

I feel grateful that Cayden has a good pediatrician. Not only she's able to give good advice to me, but also very supportive and also her encouragement to me.
.
Cayden needs to be carried most of the times since birth. He needs plenty of attention and needs companion all the times. Everyone was telling me that we carried him too much, so he's so attaching to people now. No doubt it's so tiring, taking care Cayden has never been an easy task. Until I got the advice from his doctor, she encouraged me to carry Cayden more. She encouraged me to spend more time with him. She mentioned that baby needs a lot of love, especially baby boy. She told me that by nature, baby boys will need more loves than baby girl, baby boys are more fragile than girl. So, some people said that to take care of a baby boy is tougher. It's true in a sense that to conceive a baby boy is also harder than conceiving a girl. She also advised me to take care of Cayden on my own. Love from mummy and daddy are very much different. It is a foundation of a secure personality. A strong attachment of baby boy to his daddy and mummy will give him trust and confidence in life. Why? Because he will learn that his parents are here for him. When they leave, they will come back. They will listen to him and fulfil his needs , physical and emotional. In boys, problem in attachment have been shown to be associated with violence later in life.
.
Well, I have decided to bring Cayden back. Nothing and noone can stop me from doing that. Cayden DiDi, please wait for daddy and mummy and jiejie ya :)

Pillow 的饼干

I bought 3 packet of biscuits, 1 is fish shape and 1 is stick type for Tiffy to bring to school and another one which we used to call 枕头饼 for myself. But, I think Tiffy prefers my biscuit than hers. When she's eating the biscuit, she told me it's pillow biscuit, I was so surprised when I heard it, cos I never told her about this. Obviously the shape of the biscuit looks alike biscuit very much. Now, whenever I open the cupboard, she will squeeze in to hunt for this pack of biscuit.
.
.
Tiffy's trying very hard to open it by herself.
.
.
Finally, she gets to open it....happy happy^^
.
.
After she ate a few pieces of it, I told her, ''ok ok liao, enough already, keep it keep it...''. And she cried.

.

.
Shouted for, ''Leng Leng 要吃pillow的饼干, Leng Leng 要吃pillow的饼干...''
.

.
Ok ok larr...mummy lose, Leng Leng win....(Tiffy is very long winded, if i insist to keep up the biscuit, she will haunt me until I surrender)
.

.
The other day, she told me this when I'm in the kitchen preparing dinner...
.
Tiffy : Leng Leng要吃糖
(she saw the sugar in the cupboard, used to tipu her when I feed her medicine)
.
Mummy : No ahh, this is not 糖, this is salt...
.
Tiffy : Leng Leng要吃salt
.
Mummy : 不可以啊, 吃salt会变botak head 的啊...
.
Tiffy : Leng Leng 要吃botak head....
.
Mummy : LOL :D

22 months 5 days old

.
Tiffy is 22 months old already, 2 more months to go to her 2 years old birthday, so fast...phew!!!! time flies....Tiffy is weighted 14.2kg and her height is 90cm. Tiffy has completed all the vaccines finally, the next vaccine will be in age 5. Well, to track and jot down her development in a specific way is not easy anymore, she's growing up so much and so fast. These are what I can list down.
.
  • Tiffy is going to school since 4.5.2010. Up till now, she's doing pretty well in the school. She cried for MaMa for the first 3 days and thereafter, she only 扁嘴 when I leave her with the teacher.
  • She's more mature in term of listening to instruction. She used to cry out loud everytime when doctor examined her, but this time she did not, she open her mouth to let doctor check when doctor asked her to do so, she did not cry for the injection too..what a brave baby!!! :)
  • Tiffy does not like me to pat her to sleep now. She prefer to sleep on her own. So, what I'm doing now is lying beside her, let her roll and flip and turn on the bed until she gets tired and falls asleep by herself.
  • She likes to draw. She likes to use PEN to draw. And most of the time, she draw CIRCLE. She can draw a page full of big and small circles.
  • She like to sing mandarin version of 'twinkle twinkle little star'. She's able to sing in different tones and only repeat the same sentence in the lyric.
  • She likes to mix with children, ie neighbours' kids or children at the playground. When we told her it's time to go home, she will cry for very very long period.
  • She can speaks very well in mandarin and can express very well what she wants and what she is thinking.
  • She behaves like a broken recorder, repeating and repeating whatever she dont gets.
  • Starts to be picky on food. Even a small piece of vegetables, she will pick it out. But those vege boil together in the porridge, she will eat it.
  • She prefers biscuit than bread or cake.
  • She wanted milo to be added to her milk after she has her first taste of milo and she called it 'milo nen nen'
  • Daily life - wakes up in the morning around 7.30 and take her first milk. At 9am, take her cereal breakfast with biscuit or bread. Goes to school from 9.30am to 12pm. Drink her second milk after back from school and take her noon nap until 3pm. Eat porridge or rice with soup after woke up, and then it's playing, drawing times. At 5.30pm, drink her 3rd milk of the day and continue with her playing times (go to playground, or go swimming or just play toys or masak masak at home). Take her porridge or rice with soup at 7.30pm and goes to bed around 8pm. She needs to drink milk before she sleeps, so normally I will only make 5-6oz of milk to her. Falls asleep at last around 8.30 to 9pm.
  • Takes at least 3 times of shower a day, morning, after back from school and at night.
  • Picky on he clothing, wanted to choose what she wants to wear for top, bottom and shoes.
  • In the midst of training her to be diaper free. Hopefully by 2 years old, she will be diaper free during day time.

height : 67cm (last month : 63cm)
  • Drinks 6-6.5oz of formula every 3 hours.

  • Day time schedule will be nap, feeding, playing time and nap again. Havent really gotten into a regular nap pattern yet. But when he fuss and cry and not wanting us to carry him, means he wants to sleep already.
  • Does not need to be carried to sleep, prefer to sleep on his tummy and gently pat on his buttock, he will very soon doze off.
  • Wean off pacifier and started to suck his fingers.
  • Has been drooling a lot. He can brings his hand together and likes to suck his index and middle finger, until got slurp slurp sound somemore. He likes to bite his hanky and sometimes our finger.
  • Makes alot of noise as if he's taking to us. Knows how to fake crying when noone at his side.
  • Loves people talking to him and will talk back to us. Will squeals and laughs out loud when we play with him.

Conversation in the car

.
.

.
Tiffy talks alot, she's a talkative baby. Mostly she speaks in mandarin. Her mandarin is really fantantic. She has a lot of requests and very demanding sometimes. She likes to give order to people on what to do and what should not do. We have to follow her instruction, or else she will repeat the statement like a broken tape recorder until we surrender and does what she wants. Although she behaves very naughty sometimes, I still love my cheeky baby very much. These are the conversations happen in the car everyday.
.
If daddy drive recklessly and cause Tiffy falls down.
Tiffy : 不要驾快快 or 驾慢慢 (previously she confused with 快快 and 慢慢, always say it terbalik ie 不要驾慢慢)
.
If we do not buckle up in the car.
Tiffy : daddy, 绑带. (repeat thousand times until we have fasten the seabelt)
.
If Tiffy feel bored in the car
Tiffy : 听歌 (repeat thousand times until we turn on the radio)
.
When she recalled the event when daddy's car's tyre puntured
Tiffy : daddy的车坏掉了咯....
.
When she see the car internal light or lighting outside the car at night
Tiffy : light light... (repeat thousand times until we responded to her)
.
When she thinks of Kai Kai Ah Yi
Tiffy : Kai Kai Ah Yi 驾 MaMa 的 boon boon去做工了咯....
.
When she sense that I'm sending her to school
Tiffy : Leng Leng 不要找 teacher or Leng Leng 不要哭har..Leng Leng去读书,MaMa去做工, daddy 去做工, 阿嬷去买菜
.
Driving is not easy nowaday, I need to pay attention to my baby as well as concentrate on the road.

大姨's house

.
Hubby's going to JB for business trip on last Friday. In view that it's a Friday, we tagged along with him. I asked Tiffy many times before we started our journey, do you want to go to 大姨's house? Her answer is a BIG NO. I guess she still remember the unpleasant experience there.
.
Hmmm, it's so true. Tiffy cling on me most of the time at 大姨's house, she doenst want 大姨 to bath her, she doest want 大姨 to carry her, she doesnt even want to call 大姨. With the greatest effort, Tiffy behaved more 'friendly' to 大姨, she gave 大姨 a big hug and kissed on her face before we heading back to KL. Well, there is a way to make Tiffy do so ---> FOOD, yeah!!! 大姨 gave Tiffy a big packet of CHOCOLATE, so she deserved a big hug and big kiss :D

Crawling??

.
.

.
Cayden sleeps on tummy all the time. When we put him at the centre of baby cot at night, the next morning, we will find him at the edge of the cot. He moves himself forward by pushing off using his knees and feet. Cayden has strong neck too, when we put him on tummy, he can maintain this position for very long time. He cant flip over yet, I think it's time to teach him how to flip over.
.
